Privacy
Last updated 29 September 2026. The short version: your tones and your keys stay on your computer.
What the app sends
- License checks. When you activate or every two weeks afterwards, SparKo sends your license key and an anonymous hardware fingerprint (a hash, not your hardware IDs) to our license service so the activation limit can be enforced. The computer name you see in the license screen is sent so you can recognize activations.
- AI requests. If you use AI tone generation, your prompt is sent directly from your computer to the AI provider you chose, using your own API key. We never see it.
- Nothing else. No analytics, no crash reports unless a future version asks you first, no tone data leaves your machine.
What stays local
Your tone library, tags, setlists, API keys and license token are files in the SparKo folder on your computer. Deleting the folder deletes them.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Paddle.com, who collect the details needed to process your order under their own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order reference so we can issue and support your license.
